Grometheus, commonly known as Grom, is an important character in The Owl House, voiced by Keston John. Grom is a legendary creature, a mix between a bull and a bear, who acts as the embodiment of fear. Luz looks through it and sees the three from a reflection in a second floor window. After realizing she can use the cubes to communicate through reflections by saying people's names, she says her mothers name and a cube appears. When they hear the selkidomus' lair, the reward money is stolen and Luz chases after the culprit, only to learn the thief is Eda and lose the reward money. Soon, the Golden Guard arrives and threatens to kill King, who he took captive, if Luz and Eda do not slay the selkidomus. She then reveals she knows Eda is avoiding the riskier ventures because of her and Eda lists the positives that happened to her since Luz came into her life.

Her important characteristics include her impeccable manners, keen intellect, and a connection to the aristocratic world within the narrative. Owlbert, a lovable and wise character in “The Owl House,” adds a touch of charm and guidance to the story. In the narrative, Owlbert serves as a mentor and advisor to the main characters, offering valuable insights and assistance on their journey. His wisdom, patience, and sincere desire to aid and safeguard individuals who seek his counsel are among his key traits.

However, Vee also reveals that while she resents Luz for running away from a good life, Vee is also thankful that she was able to get a fresh start out of it, an issue Vee admits she feels complicated about. Later, after being rescued from the curator by Camila, Luz is glad that she's okay and Vee thanks Luz for her help. Luz didn't see Lilith again until "Agony of a Witch" when she attempts to "borrow" the Healing Hat relic from Emperor Belos' castle, only to be captured by Lilith as part of her plan to draw Eda out of hiding. Luz escapes the bubble and tries to stop Eda, so Lilith throws her off the castle bridge, forcing Eda to expend the last of her magic to save her and she transforms into her cursed form.
As they play games, Eda and her friends fight for their lives and manage to survive. Soon, the Collector breaks down in tears and reveals that his siblings told him to come down to their planet and he befriended the baby titans. However his siblings started attacking the titans and their father accused him of hurting them and imprisoned him.
They make up as Eda's condition worsens, and Lilith decides to share the burden of Eda's curse, lessening its effects but greatly weakening their magic and giving them two different colored eyes. In season two, Lilith begins living in the Owl House and tries to make amends with Eda. She creates a spell that will allow them to spy into the Emperor's Coven and in the process befriends Hooty, whom she affectionately begins calling "Hootcifer". When she makes a special window to spy on Emperor Belos, she is unaware that Belos knows of it. "Keeping up A-fear-ances" reveals she was ignored by her mother, Gwendolyn, for most of her life; upon her realizing this, they make amends.

It's also been implied on occasion that much of Luz's creativity, eccentricity, optimism, and love of fantasy, especially her fondness for the Azura franchise, which was the final gift her father gave her, is a means of coping with his loss. When fused with the Titan's power, her cloak turns into a furry black covering with rings of bone on the outside and purple on the inside, with a glowing glyph combination on her chest. Her eyes turn black with yellow pupils, and her hands and lower legs turn skeleton-like while wearing gray pants.

While she is pleased to see Luz banned from campus following an incident, she relents upon realizing Luz wants more knowledge, and makes a deal with Principal Bump to allow Luz to attend classes, admitting that she cares about Luz and her happiness. Eda initially claims she was called The Owl Lady because of her home and possessing traits similar to owls, but it is later revealed to be due to a curse that causes her to turn into an owl beast and which she must drink an elixir daily to suppress. Over the course of season one, the elixir begins to lose its potency on her, and it becomes harder for her to keep the transformation at bay. Eda's relationship with her sister Lilith is complicated, and while they clearly care about one another, Eda is resistant to working with her under the Emperor's Coven and openly fights with Lilith to retain her freedom. It is later revealed that Eda wanted to join the coven, but was willing to give up her position since Lilith wanted it. It is later revealed that Eda was cursed by Lilith when they fought for the position, and she had been working to try and break the curse.

The Titan explains that, while he does not have much time left, Luz has done nothing wrong and taken great care of his child before giving her the last of his power; this brings her back to life in a temporarily powerful Titan-human hybrid form. She rejoins the battle and, with the help of Eda and King, manages to tear Belos from the heart and undoes his damage. Belos, now back in the body of Phillip, attempts to win Luz over by claiming he had been cursed, suggesting that he and her are not like the witches. She ignores his pleas and watches as he is burned by the acid rain before being stomped out by Eda, Raine, and King.
